Handling Materials in Construction and Demolition

Before demolition, it’s crucial to assess the quantity and quality of materials within the building to plan the dismantling process correctly and safely.

Different materials are treated differently during the dismantling process. For example, concrete structures can be crushed and reused in road construction or for manufacturing new concrete structures. Metal parts can be melted down and used in the production of new metal items. Wood materials can be recycled or used for energy production.

Screening and crushing are crucial parts of this process. Screening involves separating different materials from each other. After this, the materials can be properly transferred for further use. In the crushing process, materials are fed into a crusher where they are finely processed into the desired size.

Sorting, screening, and crushing are vital in recycling construction waste as they enable the reuse of valuable materials and reduce the amount of waste.
